adam was working through another shift because someone called in sick today. so, the poor boy has to stay for another five hours. he rather be at home right now in his comfortable bed and probably taking a nice little two-hour nap before going out, but no. he's at work because someone decided to take a little day off from work. adam let out a small sigh, grabbing his little notebook and a little pencil from the counter next to the cash register. looking around and waiting for more people to arrive. it was during the evening which means the diner would get crowded in a matter of minutes. the young boy folded his arms and lean them against the counter, noticing people were beginning to walk inside the building. here we go. he whisper underneath his breath. placing the pencil between his ear, getting up from the counter and walk toward the closest table next to him. walking toward the customer while opening his little notebook and grab the pencil, not looking at the person. hi, are you ready to order? the boy asked, looking up at the person sitting in front of him. once he saw the person, he was shocked. it was like he was seeing a ghost. he hasn't seen this girl in like almost three years and cannot believe she's back, wondering why she's here. well, he meant why she's back in town. dakota? adam asked with a raised eyebrow.

It was mid afternoon and Kota has just finished unpacking most of her boxes and she was putting her clothes in the closet and her dresser. It was only a week ago that Kota came back to Seattle, she and he parents have been fighting about who should have custody of little Abby her daughter. Kota did tell people that Abby was her little sister because she was afraid of what people would think knowing she is nineteen and already has a one year old daughter but if they only knew the whole story. Kota decided to come back to Seattle to live on her own with her daughter and he parents don't have any say. The was a job offer in Seattle and Kota jumped at the chance to go, but when she got there someone had took the job and so she was afraid she would have to go back home until she got a job at the coffee shop thanks to someone who worked there. Kota was hungry and she had no food in the house since she just moved in and her little girl must have been hungry also so Kota grabbed Abby and walked out of her room down to the living room and looked at all the other boxes and sighed she then grabbed her phone and called this old lady that offered to watch her when when she needs to. It was weird how nice people are here, Kota called the babysitter and waited for her to show up and she set Abby in her playpen as she went and got changed out of her Jammie's.
After a few minutes there was a knock at the door and Kota got her shoes on and ran to the door opening it and letting the sitter in and telling her that Abby needs to eat and that she will be back in a hour after she is done shopping. kota grabbed her keys and phone and headed out closing the door behind her and getting into her car and driving around looking for a place to eat that wasn't so busy. Kota spotted this little diner and there wasn't hardly anyone there so she pulled up to the diner and parked her car before getting out. Checking her hair in rear view mirror Kota got out and headed to the front door and walked through, taking a quick look kota took a seat near the window and began looking at the menu on the table. Kota was still looking at the menu when someone came to take her order, when the boy spoke to her she shook her head "I'm not sure but I would like a coke to drink please"she said and kept looking at the menu until she heard the guy speak her name and she looked up "Oh Adam hey....Long time eh" she said with a sweet smile she was happy to seem him. today was pretty busy for mister adam here. he basically spend his entire day working all day, from morning to the evening. taking couple breaks here and there, hoping the day could go any faster. he doesn't like working during the evenings because it usually gets crowded after six because family comes out for dinner. standing beside next to the table, listening and writing down what the person wanted to drink. while taking the customer's order, he couldn't help but heard a familiar voice after the person spoke. he notice that voice and hoping it's not someone he hopes it is. looking up from the little notebook after writing down what she wanted to drink, he look over at the girl and couldn't believe his eyes. hey. that was the only word that came out from his mouth, feeling little speechless to see a familiar face from his past. shaking his head and let out a small laugh between his lips. um, what are you doing here? he asked, having a little confused look on his face. after thinking about that last part, feeling that it didn't came out right. i mean, what brings you back here in seattle? the young boy asked, hoping she wouldn't mind answering. this is little confusing to him, wanting to know why she's back after being away for almost three years. adam then turns around when he heard his manager calling his name about the other customers. instead he just giving him a little nod and look back over at dakota.
