Oh sunny day and June was the lucky one to go out and make runs. She already dropped off the dry cleaning and ready for some tea. She would normally go to her favorite Starbucks joint but today, something pulled her away from her normal routine. From a small coffee shop a melody was being played. June had never heard it before but honestly it caught her by surprise. The red head could not help it but follow into the crowd and enter the shop. Her eyes searched around for the counter while her ear continued to listen. “One iced green tea please.” She said in her thick British accent. Her eyes then went over to the musician before she picked a table and mindlessly sat down. The girl propped her elbow onto the table and rested her head on the palm of her hand. It was music she didn’t normally listen to but she found herself liking it. Her tea was placed in front of her and the girl continued to watch and sip her tea.

im glad you came. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 350px; background-color:#af9ea8; padding:0px;] he had lined up this little gig as soon as he'd arrived in seattle, a simple coffee shop acoustic set which worked perfectly for publicizing the work he'd been doing lately. he'd settled into the town, got himself a nice little apartment near the water, and then was thrust off again into a world of concerts, and performances. yes, he missed the quiet life, the life before the fame - where the only thing that was keeping him busy was his family, and his sisters. he definitely missed them more than anything else in the world. it wasn't too bad though, being here and away from everyone, he was definitely enjoying the freedom living on your own offered. today however, he was busy. situated on a stool, his guitar propped up on his lap, he was performing. his music was pretty regular, a mix of ed sheeran with some more pop styles, it worked well for him, and the fans seemed to enjoy it immensely. the microphone was settled near his lips, and his glasses were propped on the end of his nose, his eyes closed to the world. he was barely listening to anyone in the crowd during, but received lovely comments he managed to get from the coffee shop owners as he started to pack things up. we'll just get you a coffee, would you like that? they'd asked, and with a happy smile, he nodded i'd love one, thankyou so much he resumed packing things up, setting his guitar away as people began to approach him, asking him to sign things. |

By the time the music was over, June had her green tea all gone. It was surprising how the time just flew away from her control of what to do during it. June was now watching people go away. It was over, done. The girl looked around confused, she actually didn’t want it to stop, and having no idea who the guy was, she found herself grabbing the confidence she normally had and stood up. Her cup went into the trash and she told herself to calm down, it was nothing to worry about, something just triggered inside of her. She was nervous. The girl weaved her way in between people until she was finally behind someone taking his order. She waited as her confidence slowly was slipping away. June bit her lip and played with her fingers until finally she was standing in front of him. “You are really good.” Was what she said first. “I can’t believe I haven’t heard of you before.” She blushed a bit. “I’m June, and a new fan.” She nodded finally looking up at him.

The show had of course gone smoothly for him, he’d been well taken in and the public seemed to have enjoyed the music as much as he did playing it. Now, after signing a few autographs, and taking a few photos with people who’d seen him in concert before, he was pretty much ready to leave. He was just waiting on that coffee that the shop owners had promised him. tucking his hands into the pocket of his leather jacket, his guitar case propped up against the side of the counter, he watched them go to work, offering a small smile to some of the girls who had gathered around one of the machines, gossiping to each other, and throwing him fervent glances. He should have been used to this kind of attention, girls seemingly throwing themselves at him day in and day out, after tours he’d go home to London to a mob of girls usually waiting outside his London apartment, and he’d be bothered by the media who would constantly be snapping photos. It was a pain, no less. Instead, a small red haired girl had made her way across to him, and was standing before him complimenting him on his music. He offered her a charming smile. well, thankyou he chuckled slightly, rubbing his fingers through his hair before he petted it flat again. june? Hmm, I thought you were familiar. his head tilted a moment as he watched her you lived in England, right? I mean, I can tell by your accent… but you lived in London, and I’m pretty sure you went to my school. he glanced at the counter as a drink was set down before him and he reached for it I’m duke.. duke meyer, we were in the same grade. For the first time ever, June felt like a total fan girl. Something was just there and she didn’t know what. “You are very much welcome.” She smiled lightly. The girl gave him a confused look. He knew her? But from where? Maybe work? June nodded. Right, she was London, and as was he. But she went to the same school as him? The girl had to rack her head a bit. She was the one everyone knew but she hardly knew anyone but the crowd she socialized in. The girl looked over the guy and took in the name. Duke? Maybe there was joke about him that circulated around. The girl finally was hit with realization. He was the kid always in the corner and everyone wanted to be partnered with. “Oh wow. Duke. I'm sorry I didn't recognize you.” It was really unexpected, especially since they weren’t back home. “Well I guess I don't need to ask how you are, you seem to be doing spectacular.” June grinned and looked around. It was mind blowing, the people grouping up to see him.
